“If more of us valued food and cheer and song above hoarded gold, it would be a merrier world.”

Culinary School "Bootcamp"
These are some of the recreated recipes, as well as some meals of my own from my Fall semester of culinary school in 2018. There are recipes linked to the ones in "quotations" just click on the image!
Sauteed Tourne Potatoes
These were an extra credit assignment, also from school, but I had to give these little devils there own blurb. Each of those little 7 sided, 1 inch long footballs was previously a WHOLE russet potato! This is a royalty cut. I won't go into all the details but its so wasteful and ridiculous. As for the taste, I sauteed them in clarified butter. Yummmmmmm! Best 3 french fries of my life!

Challah Rolls
This is a braided loaf recipe that I once accidentally didn't use all of the dough for. I ended up making little rolls with the leftover bits. My Great Aunt claimed they were the best rolls she had ever tasted. They have also been praised by those who work for the city of Groesbeck when I made about 250 of them for a Christmas party in 2017. I love them because they have a hint of sweetness, and when done right they are so light and airy. I've made them many times and know I will many times more!

Rose Crepe Cake
I wanted to practice making crepes somewhat on a whim and it just so happened to be the fourth of July. So I grabbed some strawberries, whipped up some frosting and colored it blue, and formed the cake. It tasted good, but it looked awesome aside from the toothpaste colored frosting, hahaha. For a whim, it turned out pretty great altogether.
